They grow everything. They answer to no one. They have a word for the island that doesn't translate. They say the land chose them — not the other way around.
That it is the life most people secretly want. No debt, no noise, no performance. The food is extraordinary. The days are long and purposeful. Visitors describe it as the first time they have felt completely at ease. Several have asked to stay.
